Selena Gomez at Bollywood Movie Awards MTV


























Selena Gomez has been criticized after her performance inspired Bollywood Movie Awards MTV provoked outrage among the Hindus.
They have accused the former Disney star, Selena, 20, of cultural appropriation - or steal the traditions of others - with his new single Asian style Come And Get It

His debut track at the party in Culver City, California, was praised by critics - but the Hindu community was furious at the decision to use a decoration Selena bindi on the forehead.
Hindu statesman Rajan Zed said: "The bindi on the forehead is an old tradition in Hinduism and has religious significance.
"It is also sometimes referred to as the third eye and the flame, and is an auspicious religious and spiritual symbol.

"It is not meant to be thrown around tighten the seductive effects or as a fashion accessory with the aim of commercial greed.
"Selena should apologize and then she should be familiar with the basics of the world's religions."
Others expressed their displeasure online, prompting the term "cultural appropriation" to become a trending topic on Twitter.
One of them said: "quintessential cultural appropriation, my respect FORSELENA is fading as we speak."
Another added: "Selena Gomez, take that head bindi, cultural appropriation is not cute. And neither is her singing".
